About Us

Since 1984 the Westlake-Westshore Arts Council has taken great pride in keeping the arts alive on the west side, including the communities from Lakewood west to Avon and south to Olmsted Falls. In 2023 the Board refined the logo and changed the name to the Westshore Arts Council (WAC). The name change emphasizes our  ongoing commitment to including all Westshore communities in making art and culture available and providing scholarships in both visual and performing arts for high school students from these communities.

The WAC offers free evening and weekend programs and include FYI Opera Series from Oberlin Opera Theater, Catch a Rising Star from Baldwin Wallace Music Theater, art lectures, musical recitals, and more to be added.  They also sponsor the Community of Fine Arts (COFA) juried art show and most programs are held at the Westlake Porter Public Library.
